OVERVIEW
Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) is an undergraduate degree course in computer applications. With the rapid growth of IT industry in India, the demand of computer professional is increasing day by day. This increasing growth of IT industry has created a lot of opportunities for the computer graduates.
Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) is one of the popular courses among the students who want to make their career in the IT (Information Technology) field. The duration of the course is 3 years and divided into 6 semesters. It comprises of the subjects like database, networking, data structure, core programming languages like 'C' and 'java'. This course provides a lot of opportunities to the students who are interested in computer field and wants to work in the IT sector as programmer or software developer. PROGRAM OUTCOMES(POS):
POI: To produce knowledgeable and competent human resources who are employable in all walk of life.
P02: To develop skilled and professionally motivated technocrats, equipped with critical reasoning and ethical values that fosters scientific temperament with a sense of social responsibility.
P03: To create, identify and implement appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools.
P04: To impart expertise required for planning, designing and building complex software systems as well as provide support to automated systems.
P05: To build caliber to tackle both personal and social challenges and improve the quality of life.
ACTIVITIES:
ELIGIBILITY
Intermediate or equivalent examination with Mathematics/Computer Science/Computer Application as a subject. General and OBC candidates must have secured atleast 50% of marks and SC & ST candidates should have obtained a minimum of 45% in aggregate of total marks.
